Specimen Requirements

Collection Requirements	Must be ordered with Complete blood Count (CBC); K2EDTA Lavender collection tube, or K2EDTA microtainer. Deliver specimens to Hematology for smear preparation
Shipping / Handling Instructions	Deliver whole blood tube to hematology section (CUH/CCOB/Zale/RPL/MCI/Redbird Labs) for smear preparation. Hematology section will send the smear preps (slides) to Biocenter Lab for performing the test. Do not send the whole blood tubes to Biocenter Lab.
